Description
A full vertical photograph of a narrow "dalle de verre" (faceted glass) window. This panel is part of the thematic liturgical series within the chapel nave, honoring one of the most widely venerated Marian titles through stylized mid-century iconography.
The image features:
* Intercessory Symbolism: The central composition features a pair of stylized white hands cupped in a gesture of receiving or offering. Above the hands, a white vertical pillar or beam of light rises toward a vibrant red, gold, and purple crown. The radiant golden lines emanating from the crown symbolize the "perpetual" flow of grace and assistance.
* Inscribed Text: The bottom section of the window contains the glass-inlaid title: "MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP." The lettering is integrated into the structural matrix using white and yellow glass slabs, providing high contrast against the dark background.
* Dalle de Verre Technique: The window is constructed from thick slabs of hand-cut glass set in a dark epoxy matrix. The faceted edges of the glass are designed to refract light with jewel-like intensity. The color palette is particularly rich, featuring deep blues, oranges, and purples.
* Architectural Context: The slender, vertical orientation is a signature architectural element of the chapel’s Mid-Century Modern design. Positioned against a dark interior wall, the window functions as a luminous "pillar of light" that contributed to the rhythmic, prayerful atmosphere of the sanctuary.
