A grand reopening reception was held on the new deck after the remodel was complete.Standing in front of the new sign are Ben Wakashige, State Librarian; Ed Norris, architect; Toni Beatty, Library Director, Rio Rancho Public Library; and Judith Isaacs, Library Director. At each weekly session, Christine Barton read creature books to a group of eager listeners. Team member’s parents and family members were part of the large crowd that observed the battles. Major parts of the third remodel were adding a portal and a deck.Parents and family members supported team members. Students practiced during their lunch hour. Children wrote poems and stories; the main project was making paper mach masks. Alice Rodgers, Friends of the Library member, greeted visitors and later cut the cake.
