Description
The organ console located within the Mary, Mother of Priests Chapel at the Servants of the Paraclete in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.
The image highlights:
The Console: A two-manual (two-keyboard) organ console with a light-colored wood finish, consistent with the chapel’s other liturgical furnishings.
Stop Tabs: A row of white, labeled rocker tablets (stops) positioned above the keyboards, used to control the various ranks of pipes and sound colors.
Pedalboard: The lower portion of the image shows the wooden bass pedals and two expression pedals used by the organist to control volume and swell.
Setting: The console is situated on a red-carpeted platform, a common feature in mid-century church interiors to provide a splash of warm, liturgical color against the white walls and stone.
